Update: Police say Daphne incident was pre-planned fight
UPDATE: Daphne police say that an incident that took place in the Lake Forest subdivision Monday night may actually have been a pre-planned fight.
Originally called in as two people hit by a vehicle and robbed, now officers say no robbery occurred and that it was a pre-planned fight stemming from a social media post on TikTok.
It is unclear exactly what happened. According to a release, officers talked with both parties.
One was taken to Thomas Hospital and another flown to Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola.
“It could certainly fall under a situation where a false police report could be in order. We don’t know that yet,” said Sgt. Jason Vannoy with Daphne PD. “We’ve got to find out exactly what was said. That’s a lot of what we’re following up on today.”
Police said they will continue to investigate to see if criminal charges are warranted either for the assault against the victims or against the victims for filing a false police report.
